Six Easy Ways to Help

  1. Sponsor a Child
  2. Donate
  3. Build Matsiko a Home
  4. Volunteer
  5. Start a Club
  6. Buy Matsiko Stuff

1. Sponsor a Child
One-on-one sponsorship is the greatest gift you can give to a child. The opportunity to pursue a university degree will rescue your child from the cycle of poverty that has held her, and children like her, captive for generations. Click here to browse through children ready and available for sponsorship on our website. Start a new life for yourself, and a deserving child, today.

2. Donate
From loose change to larger support checks, people all over are deciding to donate funds to ICN. Last year, ICN used less than 3% of sponsorship support for the administrative costs necessary to fund the whole program. Of all the other money that comes in, ICN puts 100% of what is given toward the donor's intended purpose. 3. Build Matsiko a Home
Many have had the opportunity to get to know the kids of Matsiko Chldren's Choir. In fact, the choir's purpose for performing in the United States, aside from finding sponsors for their friends and other children just like them, is to build a home in Kampala. All the children in the choir grew up in extreme poverty, most living next door to brothels or in the city dump, searching through trash to find things to sell and hopefully buy food. These children deserve better than going back to that same situation, and this is why ICN is committed to building a home in Kampala for the choir, for future choirs from Africa, and for other children who need a safe place to lay their heads at night, a home free from the heartache that is all too commonplace in areas of the world like Uganda.

The property for the house is being secured and plans for the structure itself are in the works. Please bear with us as we are getting ready to make these details available to you very soon. The best way you can help right now is to donate $50 for a personalized brick to be used in the project, or $5,000 to further help ICN in its goal, in our goal, to provide a better home for a better future to these bright and deserving children. If you are considering making a contribution, please contact us with any questions you may have concerning the project. Also, if you would like to be work on a service trip to Uganda that will help build the house, please contact us and we will keep you informed about upcoming opportunities.

5. Start a Club
Starting this Fall, ICN will be launching its International Service Club (ISC) program. ISC's are designed to connect middle and high school students with their community in service to the global community. The first big activity that will be coordinated by these clubs is the worldwideWalkathon. The walk's website will be released shortly, and this event is SURE to be a success. If you would like to receive information about the walkathon or ISC program, please contact us.

4. Volunteer
Staying true to our grassroots identity, ICN is a mostly volunteer-based organization. This helps us keep costs low and remind us that everyone can do something to help, without necessarily making a career out of the act of service. Whether it is traveling with us on a service trip, serving as a network coordinator in your area, or interning for three months with one of ICN's network partners overseas, there are plenty of ways to help. Please contact us about opportunities available in your area. ICN is in the process of establishing its local volunteer network, so you can do even more at home to help the kids abroad. Opportunities are currently available in Covington, Wash. More ways to help will soon be available in Concord, Calif. and a growing list of communities. To get your community on board by serving as a regional point person, please contact us.

6. Buy Matsiko Stuff
Buy Matsiko stuff for yourself or ten of your best friends! The Matsiko store is close to being launched and you won't want to miss the great opportunity to purchase items that are only available online.
